Top 10 proposals from Prince’s Day 2021

Top 10 proposals from Prince’s Day 2021 Source: SRA- date of publication:24-09-2021 What important tax proposals for entrepreneurs did the caretaker Minister of Finance pull from his briefcase on Prince’s Day? An explanation of the ten most important ones is provided below.   1. Untaxed homeworking allowance of € 2 From 1 January 2022 you can grant your employees an untaxed homeworking allowance of up to € 2 per day. This amount is based on a calculation by Nibud (National Institute for Family Finance Information) of the average additional costs incurred, e.g. for coffee and heating, for each day worked at home. Under certain conditions it was already possible to grant an untaxed allowance for setting up a home workstation. An untaxed travel allowance of up to € 0.19 per kilometre for commuting also remains in place for days when the employee travels to the office. Please note: The travel allowance of € 0.19 may not be awarded to employees on days when they are working from home. That means that if you pay a homeworking and travel allowance, you must always determine the allowance on a [...]

NOW-1 Deadline postponed for accountant’s statement

NOW-1 Deadline postponed for accountant’s statement The Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (SZW) and the Royal Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants (NBA) have announced that the deadline for the NOW-1 accountant’s statement will be postponed to the 6th of February 2022. However, the NOW-requesting employer must still submit his or her application for final settlement (Dutch: aanvraag tot vaststelling) by the original deadline of 31st of October, even if the accountant’s report or third party statement is not ready. These changes have been implemented in part to alleviate pressure off auditors who have the task of compiling the NOW statements. It has also been announced that there will be changes to the standard and protocols applicable to the NOW, after complaints of unnecessary complexity for the auditor. Group definition The alteration of the NOW audit protocol also removes certain barriers in completing the application for final settlement, especially pertaining to the group definition in context of the NOW scheme. This group definition may lead to extensive auditing procedures in case of a complex international group. In case the auditor cannot perform the audit in its entirety [...]

Open course ACCA Financial Accounting

Open course ACCA Financial Accounting Reanda Netherlands’ focus on international clients is reflected in our diverse talent pool. This gives great opportunities for our employees, however, this also impose challenges as most of the learning opportunities for auditors in the Netherlands are not available in English. Earlier this year, Reanda made an important step by being able to offer the Theoretical and Practical Study Program leading to certification as Register Accountant (RA) in English, in cooperation with Kriton. Today, I am very proud to announce that we have signed an agreement with MVP to offer ACCA training, in English, in the Netherlands. The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification (ACCA). Interestingly, ACCA was not available in the Netherlands. Now, together with MVP, we have been able to change this. You can follow all modules of ACCA in order to become a qualified accountant (ACCA), or can take one or several modules to refresh or upgrade your knowledge. Plus, it’s a great way to study in English. The training is not only for employees of Reanda Netherlands but open to [...]
